  • About Our Prior Pastor

Before being called as pastor of our church, Laurence Anson Justice pastored Baptist churches in Oklahoma, Wyoming, Alabama, and Illinois as well as working for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections as a full time chaplain. He was ordained to the gospel ministry in 1968 after completing degrees at Oklahoma Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

He is the author of a number of books including "Roman Catholicism" and "Some Contemporary Problems Among Baptists." He has also written a number of booklets on timely subjects along with tracts such as "Are Baptists Reformed?," "The Perpetuity Of The Church" and "Should A Baptist Church Embrace Pentecostalism?"

He is the son of Anson and Nadean Turner Justice of Oklahoma City. His father was a Baptist preacher in Oklahoma for 72 years. Pastor Justice and his wife Lyndy have three children; Leah Tucker of Headland, Alabama, Eddy of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Rachel Perozzi of Butler, New Jersey.

God called him as pastor of Victory Baptist and he began on August 21st, 1994. After more than 22 years, he announced his retirement at the close of services on Sunday, February 28th, 2017. He and Lyndy have since moved to the Grenada Mississippi area to join the Central Baptist Church of that city where Brother Bill Lee is pastor.
